Students will cover the following topics during this course:

• Define Process Safety Management
• Identify the geographic applicability of OSHA PSM and MMS SEMP
• Define the acronym SEMP
• Discuss contractor employer obligations in PSM and SEMP
• Discuss host employer obligation in PSM and SEMP
• Discuss what a contractor employee is expected to do to assist with PSM and SEMP compliance

In addition to presentation of the course material, the following must be done to fulfill the regulatory requirements:

• Site-specific emergency response training
• Job-specific process and safety training
• Documented verification that the employee is capable of performing their job safely (written test and/or skills demonstration)
